The Tessman Company, a Veseris Company, has been serving Lawn Care Companies, Snow Removal Professionals, Landscapers, Golf Courses, Athletic Field Managers, Greenhouses and Nurseries since 1950. We have warehouses in St. Paul, MN, Sioux Falls, SD and Fargo, ND. Tessman offers a wide variety of fertilizers, chemicals, grass seed, golf course supplies, greenhouse soils and plastics, landscape supplies and ice melters.

Our History

The Tessman Company has been operating in the Upper Midwest since 1950. In 1995, the company transitioned from retail garden products to professional turf, golf course, landscape and greenhouse distribution. In 2001, Terry Reiten joined the team and became an owner shortly thereafter, spending the next 24 years building a company defined by exceptional customer service and deep supplier trust across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

In January 2025, The Tessman Company joined Veseris, a leading distributor headquartered in Austin, Texas, serving professionals across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. As part of the Veseris family, Tessman continues to build on its legacy of trusted service while expanding its capabilities and resources for customers throughout the Upper Midwest.

Our Leadership

John Smith serves as President of The Tessman Company. A results-driven commercial leader with more than 15 years of experience in specialty chemical, turf and ornamental, and pest control distribution, John brings a servant-leadership approach and a deep commitment to the customer and supplier relationships that have defined Tessman for over 70 years.
